The Oregon Zoo is Going Wild with Summer Events in Portland

Come out and party like an animal with the Oregon Zoo all summer long.

We are always excited to introduce ways to enjoy your summer. And thanks to the Oregon Zoo, we are happy to tell you about awesome summer events in Portland. The zoo is going wild this summer with fun events you don’t want to miss. Get out your calendar and get ready to fill it up with these summer events at the Oregon Zoo.

  • June 22-Aug. 4: Summer Concerts at the zoo are always a fun way to hang out with the wild while enjoying music from great artists. There will be performances from The B-52s, Jimmy Cliff, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Ziggy Marley and more.
  • June 26-Aug. 21: ZooTrek is a personal tour of your favorite animal area. Invite a group of friends and family to trek through your favorite exhibit. The ZooTrek will tour The Great Northwest (June 26), Big Cats of the World (July 17), The Serengeti (July 31), Island Life (Aug. 7) and another Great Northwest (Aug. 21).
  • July-August (Every Other Wednesday) Sunset at the Zoo is something new the zoo is introducing that will feature Wednesday evening concerts with a festival atmosphere. There will be regional food, beer and wine, programs for adults and kids and live music from local artists.
  • July 21: Zoolala is the annual fundraising event that is more like a summer celebration. It will have local food, dancing for the party animals and music. Portland’s top restaurants, bakeries, breweries and wineries will bring bites of their popular foods for you to taste.
